Memories Faded

Forgetting you is my penance.

A dignified mercy to a broken heart.

It feels good to let you go.

You lied to me.

In such a way,

the unbelief struck with such force

it left me feeling crazy.

Visions of us are now hazy.

I saved me.

Remembering,

how I’ve erased you from my memory.

  1. First of all, please let me say how much I appreciate having you as a blog friend. Also, I want you to know grateful I am that you take time to like the articles that I write. Aside from those two statements, I must ask if there is truly a way of moving another person out of our mind, our memory, our emotions, out pain, especially when such a person once filled a great void in our life. Does it take a year, five years, ten years, twenty years….even longer. Does not the pain of hurt or love for such a person stay with us….endlessly? I have had such pain to stay with me, for many years; I won’t say if it was pain from hurt or pain from love; pain is pain. Thanks for your tender heart. May Christ, our Lord and Savior, richly bless you and lead you in all that you do.
